Digitalization is key for business success. The Women in Digital Business Initiative empowers your business to make most out of digital technologies.
The rise of the digital economy brings new opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Enterprises can reach their clients better through social media, websites and e-commerce, for example. Enterprises can also be more efficient with the right use of technology. But it is not always easy to develop and implement a digital transformation strategy.
Women in Digital Business (WIDB) is a new initiative by the International Training Centre of the ILO and Microsoft Philanthropies. The objective is to unlock the participation of women entrepreneurs in the digital economy, by giving them access to training programmes on digital skills,

Course Content
The foundations programme provides you with the basic skills and insights for digital entrepreneurship. You will explore a range of digital business solutions and evaluate their relevance and effectiveness for your enterprise. The foundations programme focuses on building an on-line presence and commercializing on-line, covering also the broader impacts of digital transformation on people and business processes.

Learn why it is important for your business to digitalize and get to understand some of the key concepts.Building an on-line presence
Learn about strategies to embark on a digital journey by building an on-line presence, either through social media, through messengers or by creating a website.Selling on-line

Fees & Registration
Fees
A registration fee of ZAR 1600 per participant is due on invoice after the application has been approved. Members of the Africa Adventure Tourism Network will receive a 10% discount on the registration fee.
There are ten scholarships (100% cost coverage - no financial contribution by the participant) and twenty partly sponsored opportunities (80% cost coverage - ZAR 320 financial contribution by the participant) available and we kindly ask you to write to us explaining why you should receive a scholarship / sponsorship. All financial support is at the discretion of the Africa Adventure Academy.
Withdrawal, Cancellation and Refund Policy
- 14 days or more prior to the start date of the course: No penalty, 100% refund of amount paid less applicable bank charges
- 8 to 13 days prior to the start date of the course: Penalty of 50% of course price, refund of residual amount paid (if any) less applicable bank charges.
- 7 days or less prior to the start date of the course: Penalty of 100% of course price, e.g. no refund.

Certificate
A Certificate of Completion is issued upon successful completion of the WIDB training programme and the submission of your digitalization plan .
The certificate is digital. This course is not registered with South Africa's NQF scheme and therefore you will not qualify to earn any points at the NQF.
